Jim Larkin (“Big Jim”) was an Irish trade union leader who pioneered industrial action, founder of the Irish Transport and General Workers’ Union (ITGWU). He revolutionized Irish labor by organizing unskilled workers and promoting militant, syndicalist tactics to fight for better wages and conditions. About us

The Peoples School for Marxist-Leninist Studies is part of a long line of American communist party sponsored schools, such as the Workers Schools, the Jefferson School of Social Science, the Center for Marxist Education and the Peoples School for Marxist Studies. We were founded in 2016, and have come a long way from classes on conference calls to professional weekly virtual classes, and will continue striving to bring Marxist-Leninist education to the masses. The classes cost nothing and the knowledge is worth everything!

We hold classes online every week on Tuesdays at 8 pm EST/5 pm PST. These are public classes on Zoom that are organized into sections of presentations, and discussion periods. Join our classes and participate in collective education!

The meeting on May 20, 2025, at the People School for Marxist Leninist Studies, covered the perils of fascism, focusing on the relationship between big business and the Roosevelt administration during the New Deal. The discussion highlighted the fascist elements in the New Deal's recovery program, the growth of popular unrest, and the emergence of fascist tendencies in the U.S. The American Liberty League and its successor, the Heritage Foundation, were compared, emphasizing their deceptive tactics and the erosion of civil liberties. The session concluded with a call to action, urging participants to stay engaged and informed about the rising fascist threats. The Perils of Fascism Part 2 — PSMLS Class
Presented in collaboration with the Asian-American Friendship Congress for a class on Asian-Americans in the Labor Movement. We learn about the history of various Asian workers, from those who built our railroad to those who toiled on plantations. We also cover recent labor actions and anti-immigrant policies.
