Since it is August, we are going over the August Revolution in Vietnam against the Japanese fascists in 1945! We’ll also be reviewing a bit of history about comrade Ho Chi Minh and looking at a bit of the history following the August Revolution with the struggle against French Colonialism. We at the Peoples School are defenders of the revolution in Vietnam and are proud of our Marxist-Leninist comrades there that led a successful struggle against American imperialism in the heat of the Cold War.
If you’re new to PSMLS, the school provides free public collective education every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays on a variety of topics from a Marxist-Leninist perspective. You don’t have to be a member of anything or identify as any certain ideology to attend. The PSMLS is a Party of Communists USA initiated and sponsored school, but it is not a party school, which is great because it allows for a wide variety of different perspectives and opinions to be brought forth which don’t necessarily reflect the party line.
