This class, we will dive into the creation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and the problems therein. We’ll learn about this history of NATO during the Cold War, and how the alliance postured itself against the USSR & Warsaw Pact. Lastly, we will explore the history of NATO within the last ~33 years during the period of American Unipolarity and how NATO exposed itself to not be a defensive organization in the wake of the counter-revolution in the USSR. If you’re new to PSMLS, the school provides free public collective education every week on Tuesday on a variety of topics from a Marxist-Leninist perspective. You don’t have to be a member of anything or identify as any certain ideology to attend. The PSMLS is a Party of Communists USA initiated and sponsored school, but it is not a party school, which is great because it allows for a wide variety of different perspectives and opinions to be brought forth which don’t necessarily reflect the party line.
